It would be great it you could have notifications on the app. Similar to facebook - where I am notified when someone responds to my post, or notified of followup comments on something that I commented on.

Searching, Editing, and saving item

When searching for an item and then going in to confirm the nutrients are correct, I sometimes notice they aren't. At that point in time I click No for accurate data and update them. However when you're done and save the new nutrients, the search field is blank and you have to search for the item again, remember which one you edited, and then add it to your food diary.

The suggestion is after editing and showing the screen where the item is updated, at that point in time have a button to add to your food diary. Chances are if you're searching for a food item and updating it, you probably want to add it to your food diary. In adding the button, it would eliminate a step of searching again.

Is it possible to change the settings so that I can have say metric measurements instead of american measurements I weigh in grams not cups. HELP:grumble:

Allow edit of My Meals and allow adds/edits of Favorite food

Please allow the Edit of a meal saved under My Meals. I want to save aspects of a meal, and have to save the whole thing and cannot remove the parts of the meal that were random to me. Maybe allow the save like today, but allow to go in and remove the items from the saved meal.

Please allow a user to select/add items to Favorite foods list. Allow to remove items from favorites. Keep current features, but allow an edit if people want to clean up their list.


Thanks for listening. All the other updates, like synching with different products is great. I however think that this basics of the site functions like these should have high priority to make use of the main part of the site quicker, easier and give the user more control.

Ability to Add Pictures to News Feed

I think it would be a great addition to the site to allow users to post pictures on their own newsfeed/profile page. It would allow users to post success/progress pictures and post motivational pictures/images for their friends to see.

What good is reporting it it only gives you a bar graph and no data like average over the period of time selected.

Help! it's a great site and it worked for two days, then it changed and won't accept any new information> I cant add any new foods that I have eaten for any of the meals. Its frustrating.

I love your program, I love it and it has helped me more than anything I have tried in 30 years. The only thing missing, for me, is TIMING. I wish I could input the TIME at which I ate, because i find if I keep it to every 3 hours, i lose weight every day. I have lost 23 pounds in 31 days doing that.

Ability to upload photographs to your news feed

I love the tool but it would be fab to be able to upload photographs to your status rather than just text. This would appear on your profile page as well as in the news feed of your friends.

It would be nice to earn an emblem or for users to give an emblem to people who have consecutive days streaks. Would be even more fun if MFP RATED the user. Level 1 = 1-10 days 2= 11-25days 3 = 26-55 4= 56=85 5= 86-100 6 =101-150 7=151-250 8 = 250-300 9= 301-364 and Level 10 = 365days +

Ability to remove calories category

Perhaps I am the only one that would like this, but I really wish I could remove the calories column in the food tracking section. I get too hung up on eating too many or too few. To the point that I'm considering just not tracking food at all now. I'd rather just track my nutrients and not worry about calories.

I would like to be able to label my quick calories. Sometimes at the end of the day its hard to make sure you have logged everything if you only do quick calories. Also being able to copy the amount from one day to another would be a lot easier if they were labeled. I have a hard time remembering if the pop tart I had was the 200 quick calories or the 275. Because I cant label them I end up having to look them up again and it kind of ruins the whole quick thing . Being able to label them would be great.

I would be awesome if I the Lifestyle Arc Trainer (feels like a stepper but has a gliding effect) was added to the Cardio section for easy logging of calories burned. I love this machine, it's a great workout. The machines are very popular at Planet Fitness.

I love the ability to input recipes but.... it would be awesome if I can tweak the ingredients once they are listed (like I can in my food diary) by clicking on the item and then changing the serving size or amount.

For example, when I make chili I put the entire package of ground turkey in the pot. That package usually varies depending on what looked good at the store. Sometimes it is 1.25lbs, sometimes more, sometimes less. Currently I will have to delete it from the ingredients and then add it back with the new quantity. For one item (like in this example) it isn't such a big deal, but I am finding that I am experimenting more and more with my cooking and will be changing quantities of several items to improve the recipe's flavor or nutrient content.

This is a suggestion, but would there be any way to link MFP with Instagram? My friend had this idea. We both agree that progress pictures are very motivating and encouraging, but neither of us would want to share them on Facebook. We would however gladly share them here, since this site is filled with such awesome and supportive people.

Just a suggestion, anyone agree that this would be awesome??

Warfarin and Coumadin users

At your report site, under nutrition, you point out several items for the data to be reported. Saturated fats, calories, Vitamin C & D, etc, etc, etc.. Those of us that are on blood thinners are required to control the consumption of green and leafy vegetables due to Vitamin K levels in each. It couneracts the blood thinners purpose. So we have to limit our consumption of green vegetables. Could you add a Vitamin K category to your nutrition choices? It would be one more category that would help us balance our diet.

Incedentally, I have just started My Fittness Pal on the first of August and I am seeing the results of you program already. I won't stop till I reach my goal !!l
